The bidding process is underway for the rights to broadcast 410 matches over the next five IPL seasons. The second day auction is over and bidding continues for the third and fourth group media rights.
This time, BCCI decided to sell the media rights in four groups. There are total 98 matches in the third package and so far 18.5 crores have been offered for one match. Bidding for the third and fourth groups will begin Tuesday at 11 a.m.
According to the PTI press agency, the call for tenders for the first two groups has been completed. So far, the process of auctioning TV and digital rights in India has been completed. The rights to these two categories were sold for Rs 44,075 crore.
